As required by canon 537, a Parish Finance Council is to be established in every parish in the Archdiocese. It is the duty of the Parish Finance Council to assist the Pastor in the administration of the temporal goods of the parish. The Parish Finance Council consists of the Pastor, who always presides, and two trustees appointed by the Archbishop (on the Pastor’s recommendation). Further members are appointed by the Pastor as required. It is the duty of the Parish Finance Council to prepare and present the annual operating budget based upon the goals and objectives determined by the Pastor and the Pastoral Council, review monthly operating statements and examine all extraordinary transactions. The Committee meets on a regular basis according to Parish needs.
