Development and Peace was established in 1967 by
the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Development and Peace – Caritas Canada (DPCC) is the Catholic Church’s official international development organization in Canada and part of the global Caritas network. Guided by Gospel values, DPCC focuses on community development, humanitarian aid worldwide, and advocacy in Canada.
Parishes play a key role in driving donations, raising awareness, and inspiring action. Currently, St. Charles Parish participates in “Solidarity Sunday” by sharing information and collecting donations, but we lack a parish representative. If you’re interested in re-establishing a Development and Peace Committee, please contact the parish office.
