KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

FATHER ALLAN HALL COUNCIL #8604

DSC01978.jpeg

As Knights of Columbus, we bring enthusiasm and fellowship to our council as well as our continued dedication to faith, family, community and youth which has made the Knights of Columbus a very important part of the St. Charles church community.

Our meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month (September to June) beginning with Mass at 7:00 pm followed by the meeting in the St. Charles Parish Hall.

The council works with the CWL to put on Rosary and Spaghetti nights on the last Sunday in October and May each year. The council also coordinates the parishes monthly pancake breakfasts which are held on the second Sunday of each month. All of these events provide St. Charles parishioners and their family and friends an opportunity to enjoy a great meal and visit.

The council provides various spiritual literature to parishioners through the Building the Domestic Church series which enables families and individuals of all ages to work on projects and build their faith at the same time.

We also have charitable events like the 40 Cans for Lent which coordinates donations from parishioners which are given to social agencies which help feed people in our community.

Over the past decade our Council has raised over $100,000 and split the proceeds almost half and half between St. Charles parish and various charities in our city and around the world.

Our Council is very committed to youth activities including a $1,000 bursary to a student from St. Charles Parish who demonstrates strong academic standing and a commitment to volunteering in our parish and the wider community, a Lenten/Easter poster day and support the Religious Education Program with monetary donations towards the Birthday Party for Jesus.
